Applications
This indexable insert has been primarily designed for economical solid drilling in cast iron materials. In combination with compatible indexable insert drills, it is excellently suited for producing precise holes in industrial manufacturing. It shows its strengths particularly in serial production, where reliability and constant machining performance are of high importance.
Special features
A key feature of this drilling insert is the RT250K grade, which consists of a CVD-coated K10-K20 carbide. This coating technology forms an effective thermal and mechanical shield that protects the cutting edge during abrasive cast iron machining. The R-53 geometry also supports controlled chip evacuation, which contributes significantly to preventing chip jams in the drilling process.
