Reliable roughing of difficult-to-machine materials
The indexable insert DNMG...-SR RT110S has been specially developed for demanding roughing tasks. Equipped with a wear-resistant PVD-TiAlSiN coating on a robust S10 carbide substrate, this version masters continuous cuts in heat-resistant super alloys and special materials with ease. The negative 55° rhombic geometry provides the necessary stability to remove large amounts of material reliably.

Applications
This turning insert is excellently suited for heavy machining and roughing of special materials such as heat-resistant super alloys. The SR geometry, combined with the RT110S grade, shows its strengths particularly in continuous cuts, where high thermal stability and consistent metal removal rates are required.
