Applications
This turning insert is explicitly engineered for roughing applications in various steel alloys. Its negative 80° rhombic shape provides the necessary edge strength to handle high depths of cut. It represents a highly practical choice for continuous operations as well as scenarios involving light interrupted cuts, maintaining reliable chip evacuation throughout the process.
Special features
The insert features a state-of-the-art CVD coating applied over a tough P20 carbide substrate. This two-color grade ensures a high wear resistance while providing the structural integrity needed for heavy cutting loads. Consequently, the tool accommodates demanding roughing tasks and maintains a consistent structural stability during general steel processing.
