Precise turning of aluminum and plastics
The positive indexable insert VCGT ...-ALZ in grade RT100 is geared towards professional use on non-ferrous metals and soft materials. Thanks to the uncoated K10-K15 carbide and extremely sharp edges, the tool achieves smooth, precise surfaces during continuous cuts. The special ALZ design plays a key role in ensuring clean chip removal during aluminum and plastic machining operations.

Applications
The turning insert is excellently suited for the finishing and fine machining of aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. In addition, the VCGT geometry opens up flexible application possibilities in the cutting of demanding technical plastics. Designed for continuous cuts, it allows the production of precise outer and inner contours with optimal surface quality.
Special features
The uncoated fine-grain carbide minimizes friction and effectively helps to avoid built-up edges during aluminum turning. The sharp chipbreaker of the ALZ geometry supports efficient workflows through low cutting forces and reduces heat generation on the workpiece. The inserts are supplied in a practical packaging unit of 10 pieces.
