High-Performance Cermet Insert for Finishing
The positive indexable insert DCGT-SF in the RTC+ grade was specifically developed for demanding finishing operations. The combination of a resilient cermet substrate and a PVD coating (P05-P15) ensures high temperature resistance and consistent wear protection. This turning tool supports reliable dimensional accuracy and delivers smooth, clean workpiece surfaces in continuous cuts.

Applications
The main area of application for this tooling system is fine contour and longitudinal turning on modern CNC lathes. The insert shows its strengths particularly when machining stainless steel, structural steel, and alloyed steel where tight tolerances are required.
Special features
Due to the sharp cutting edge of the SF geometry, cutting forces and the risk of vibration during turning are significantly reduced. The hard cermet material prevents built-up edges, ensuring predictable and long operating times during precise profile turning.
