When using the 5xD or 8xD drill body, we recommend reducing the feed rate to 85% or 70%.
Applications
These tool inserts represent a sophisticated solution for demanding drilling tasks in the metalworking industry, particularly in mechanical engineering and plant construction. They offer flexible application possibilities when machining non-alloyed, low-alloyed, and high-alloyed steels. Furthermore, they perform well in grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, and malleable cast iron during medium to large-scale production.
Special features
Equipped with the CVD-coated carbide grade RT19, the solid carbide drill head provides good wear resistance and supports consistent tool life at various cutting speeds. The proven 140° point angle facilitates centering on the workpiece and helps to optimally distribute the emerging cutting forces. The straightforward tip replacement directly on the machine tool achieves a considerable reduction in set-up and non-productive times.
