Efficient DNMG-PR indexable insert for professional machining

The DNMG...-PR turning inserts in grades RT215+ and RT225+ are excellent tools for demanding steel machining tasks. Their negative 55° rhombic shape combined with a stable PR roughing geometry creates ideal conditions for cost-effective longitudinal and facing operations. The state-of-the-art CVD coatings guarantee reliable chip evacuation even under high cutting forces and noticeably reduce wear.

Applications

The RT215+ version, as a highly wear-resistant P10 carbide, is primarily designed for full-cutting roughing of steel. If the application involves steel components with light interruptions, the tougher P20 carbide grade RT225+ offers the necessary process reliability. These inserts perform exceptionally well in high-volume turning operations and help increase productivity on CNC lathes through uniform wear characteristics.

Special features

Thanks to the dedicated PR chipbreaker, reliable chip control is maintained even at larger depths of cut up to 4.8 mm. Available with three different corner radii (0.8 mm, 1.2 mm, and 1.6 mm), these inserts provide flexible options for a wide variety of workpiece contours and feed rate requirements.
