High-performance turning: Indexable insert DNMG 1506...R/L RT250
When machining steel, wear-resistant tools that deliver reliable results even under demanding conditions are essential. The DNMG 1506...R/L indexable insert in the RT250 cutting grade is specifically designed for roughing and medium turning operations. Thanks to the combination of tough P25-TiN hard metal and a highly resistant CVD coating, the cutting insert impresses with its thermal stability. This supports efficient workflows, as the insert can be flexibly used in continuous as well as in light interrupted cutting conditions.

Applications
This cutting insert is designed for professional turning operations in mechanical engineering and general metalworking. It is excellently suited for both series and single-part production where structural steel, tempered steel, or other common steel materials need to be roughed. The geometry and coated cutting edge open up flexible application possibilities when solid machining performance and controlled chip evacuation at medium to large depths of cut are required.
Special features
The CVD coating increases wear resistance, allowing the tool to withstand the high temperatures generated during steel machining. The design as a DNMG insert offers users stable clamping in the tool holder, which positively affects smooth running and dimensional accuracy. Because the turning insert can be ordered in either a right-hand or left-hand version, it can be seamlessly integrated into existing setup concepts.
