Applications

The TK90 VCGT shoulder mills provide versatile application possibilities in industrial metalworking. They perform exceptionally well in precise 90° shoulder milling, face milling, and general contour machining on CNC milling centers. Thanks to the various configurations with diameters ranging from 40 mm to 80 mm, the tool can be flexibly adapted to the respective workpiece size and machine capability. The application of these mills is particularly recommended where a combination of high material removal rates and excellent surface quality is required.

Special features

The strict compatibility with VCGT indexable inserts in sizes 16 and 22 guarantees a secure insert seating. When combined with the robust body design and the recommended corner radii of 0,8 or 1,2 mm, the tendency for vibration is significantly minimized. This not only results in high dimensional accuracy on the component but also protects the machine spindle. Furthermore, the internal coolant supply (variants marked with -H) supports a trouble-free machining process and can considerably extend the tool life of the inserts when used correctly.
