High-Performance Internal Tool Holder for Profiling

The SMOXH SVUBR/L (93°) internal tool holder is a robust boring bar designed specifically for internal turning and profiling applications. It is tailored to accommodate VB.. rhombic indexable inserts, which are securely held in place by a proven screw clamping mechanism. The 35° nose angle of the inserts provides excellent accessibility for machining deep or intricate contours. Designed without cooling holes, the solid steel shank ensures high rigidity, reducing vibrations and contributing to superior surface finishes.

Applications

This holder is optimized for profiling and longitudinal turning inside bores. It supports efficient workflows in both single-part and batch production where precise internal contours are required. Depending on the selected shank diameter, the system is suitable for minimum bore diameters ranging from 21 mm up to 50 mm or more. The combination of the 93° approach angle and the 35° rhombic insert opens up flexible possibilities for undercuts and complex workpiece geometries.
