Applications
This state-of-the-art indexable insert is principally intended for the creation of robust trapezoidal external threads. Thanks to its PVD-coated surface and classification in ISO categories P15-P25 and M10-M25, the insert works exceptionally well when machining structural steels, alloyed steels, and stainless steels. Furthermore, the tool performs effectively on gray cast iron and various non-ferrous metals. Typical operations are found within mechanical engineering, especially for manufacturing accurate lead screws and drives.
Special features
The specialized full profile geometry carefully cuts the thread down to the root while capping the outer diameter in the exact same pass. This significantly minimizes secondary deburring operations and supports a continuous machining flow. The universal grade RT330 visibly reduces tool changes, allowing operators to cover a broad spectrum of materials with a single insert type. By adhering to the recommended cutting speeds (Vc) of 60 to 90 m/min, users can secure attractive surface finishes alongside efficient cycle times.
