Applications
The RT19 drill inserts are highly suitable for machining non-alloy and alloy steels, as well as various cast materials like grey cast iron and nodular cast iron. They are frequently used in general mechanical engineering, fixture construction, and series production where consistent durability is required.
Special features
A key advantage of this series is the wear-resistant CVD coating, which withstands high thermal and mechanical loads during the drilling process. The 140° point angle promotes optimal penetration and efficient chip evacuation. Important machining note: When using the 5xD or 8xD drill body, we highly recommend reducing the feed rate to 85% or 70% respectively to ensure maximum process stability.
