High-Performance WS... RT19 Solid Carbide Drill Tips
The WS... RT19 solid carbide interchangeable drill tips in the 12.00 to 12.40 mm diameter range offer a well-thought-out solution for universal drilling operations in steel and cast iron. Equipped with the highly wear-resistant RT19 coating (CVD P25/K20) and a 140° point angle, these inserts open up flexible application possibilities in industrial machining. Please pay close attention to the carrier/drill bit combinations: These drill bits only fit the 12,00-12,40 mm carrier (WST D12.0-..xD-H). Furthermore, when using the 5xD or 8xD drill body, we strongly recommend reducing the feed rate to 85% or 70% respectively to ensure safe and stable processing.

Applications
These solid carbide drill tips are tailored for professional use in metalworking. They are excellently suited for universal drilling of non-alloy, low-alloy, and high-alloy steels, as well as grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, and malleable cast iron. When combined with the appropriate WST D12.0 holders, they support efficient workflows in machine building and fixture manufacturing.
Special features
A key feature of the WS... RT19 drill inserts is their durable CVD coating, which guarantees high thermal stability during machining. The optimized 140° point angle facilitates precise centering and clean chip evacuation. Moreover, the tool system is designed to handle various drilling depths; properly adapting the feed rate for 5xD and 8xD operations significantly contributes to tool longevity and overall process reliability.
