High-performance solid carbide drill tips for machining

The solid carbide drill tips of the WS... RT19 series in the diameter range from 15.00 to 15.48 mm offer a sophisticated solution for professional drilling operations. Equipped with the wear-resistant RT19 CVD coating based on a P25/K20 carbide grade, they enable reliable and economical machining of steel and cast iron components. The precise 140° point geometry provides excellent conditions for accurate spotting and controlled chip breaking.

Please pay attention to the carrier/drill bit combinations!

These drill bits only fit the 15,00-15,48 mm carrier.

When using the 5xD or 8xD drill body, we recommend reducing the feed rate to 85% or 70%.

Applications

These tools are ideally suited for machining applications in mechanical engineering and fixture construction. They are specifically designed for universal drilling operations in unalloyed, low alloy, and high alloy steels, as well as various cast materials including grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, and malleable cast iron. The interchangeable tips demonstrate their strengths particularly in series production, where fast setup times and high flexibility are required.

Special features

The combination of a robust CVD coating and the P25/K20 carbide grade ensures a high resistance against thermal and mechanical stress. When used with the corresponding WST carrier bodies, drilling processes can be implemented efficiently. The straightforward clamping system supports smooth workflows and noticeably reduces unproductive machine downtimes.
