Professional turning with the DCGW ...-1N RTD10

The PCD-Insert DCGW ...-1N RTD10 is a well-thought-out solution for professionals requiring high-performance tools for high-speed aluminum machining. Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) is a synthetically produced, extremely hard mass of diamond particles in a metal matrix that offers excellent wear resistance. This particular DCGW variant is explicitly designed for abrasive materials, including aluminum with a high silicon content (up to 12% Si), brass alloys, brittle plastics, and fiberglass-reinforced materials. Please note: When machining soft materials with long chip formation or aluminum with low silicon content, a DCGT insert with a positive rake angle must be used.

Applications

Due to its specialized DCGW geometry and durable PCD cutting edge, this turning insert is primarily intended for series production and the machining of abrasive non-ferrous components. It offers flexible application possibilities for contouring, facing, and profiling operations on hard aluminum, brass, and abrasive composite materials.

Special features

The randomly oriented diamond structure securely embedded in a metal matrix gives the tool exceptional edge stability. Combined with the RTD10 grade, this feature supports efficient machining processes at high cutting speeds and promotes reliable results in professional industrial applications.
